I love ice cream and sharing it is even better.

It was a great idea from my wife Katie! “Photograph our backyard springtime Irises. They are in bloom.”

It is spring planting time. Green equipment and spring go together.

In our zone March 15 is the last freeze date. NOT! We dropped below freezing last night and another freeze is expected tonight. The only defense is to cover the vegetables.

The forecast is for rain later today. Now is go time to plant potatoes.

I did a walk about at the North Texas Irish Festival yesterday. People were dressed as Irish enjoying the Irish culture.

Last Thursday I took a class about portrait lighting. As a beginner my portrait photos were not very good. I have much to learn. The photos had too much light, too little light, or the wrong color of light, so I am not posting those photos. Instead I am posting photos about the lighter side of the class. There were a few moments when we were not trying to take serious photography.

Today was truck day. I decided to find interesting trucks and take some pictures. My original idea was to find junk yard trucks all smashed, dented, and nasty as candidates for pictures. I went to several junk yards and asked if I could take pictures of their pile of trucks. That approach did not go well as I was told no way and go away. With that behind me I found a couple other interesting trucks and I took pictures.

One day, when the light and wind are correct, I will ask if I could be allowed on the roof of the building next to my office in order to take some photos of this flag. These were taken from ground level so I could get the camera settings correct,

For lunch it I took pictures instead of eating lunch. This is a water fountain near my office.
